I have been out sick and am playing catch up this week!!! So here is a post that should have gone out two weeks ago. Enjoy!
This is a quick sharing post for you. We have been working on numbers from 1-20 for the past several math modules, and doing activities involving counting, going forwards and backwards, and figuring out what comes before, after, or in between numbers. So here is an activity that we did here at school that you can print out at home to help your child practice numbers also.
That was the "Frogs" part. As for the "shoes" part of this update, I would like for you take some time today to assess your child's shoe-tying skills. Shoe-tying is a Kindergarten skill that must be learned at home to insure safety here at school. In other words, Kindergarteners need to know how to tie shoes! So if you find that your child does not know how to tie shoes, or still needs more instruction, please take time today and the rest of this week or month to do daily practices with them so that they can become independent, successful shoe-tyers.
Thanks so much! I'll be posting again later this week.
