I'm Mrs. Jenkins, and I'm so happy to be working with you and your child this
school year! Please allow me to introduce myself in the video below...
ground to cover, but we do it in a fun, engaging way. By the end of this school year, we expect that your child be able to read stories and sight words, write sentences and stories, accurately count 31 or more objects, recognize numbers as high as 100, develop teamwork and partner work skills, increase their vocabulary and so much more.
This website is one you will want to bookmark, as I frequently post class news, movies, homework assignments and fun learning
activities that you can use at home with your child. Here are some sections that I'd like you to take a look at this week (all can be found in the Class Info tab):
What to Expect-Kindergarten handbook--This handy guide tells you much of what you need to know regarding school and class
routines. Please take time to download and read it this week. It will answer a lot of your questions.
Schedule--Tells you what we are doing throughout the school day. The schedule is still under construction, and is subject to change in the next week or so.
Class Rules--learn about the traffic light and our Rainbow Wall.
Kinder Calendar--This calendar is constantly being updated with school activities, so check back here often.
Grading Rubric--This is how we grade your child's papers, as well as the code used on the report card.
Please fill out and return all forms that have been sent home.
These give us vital information about your child, including
emergency contact info, that we need here at school.
Thank you so much, and here's to an awesome school year!
