You can help us contain your child's natural exuberance by going over the class rules at home once or twice this week. We usually recite the rules as a chant with hand motions. Ask your child to teach you the motions, and practice them in the morning before they leave for school.
Here is another little rhyme we learned back in August that you could do with your child to remind them to follow the rules.
(slap thighs and clap hands to make a slap-slap-clap rhythm)
Rules can be helpful, rules can be good!
We follow the rules the way we should.
We always do right, and we never do wrong.
The world's a happy place when we all get along!
A second permission slip will be coming home with your child this week for the Kinderman Show. Kinderman is an amazing one-man-show with exciting rhymes and music that teach kids their basic skills. Follow this link to learn more about Kinderman. Please return the permission slip and money as soon as you can. The kids will really love these two shows!
Please help us out by keeping your child at home if they have a fever, rash, vomiting or diarrhea, and keep them at home until those symtoms have abated for 24 hours. Thanks for your cooperation on this.
